For both men and women, hormones naturally decrease with age which can result in problematic symptoms such as weight gain, loss of energy, loss of mental clarity, irritability, hot flashes, night sweats and loss of libido.
With advancements in Bio-IdenticalHormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), you now have a choice to retake control of both your body and mind. The major hormonal levels that BHRT can optimize include estrogen, testosterone, DHEA, progesterone, and thyroid.
Do you think you may be a candidate for Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy?
The molecular structure of HRT the medication that we use at La Chele is a replica of the hormones produced in the body, making it bio-identical. There are animal-derived and synthetic hormone replacement therapies pose a number of risks and side effects for patients. Whereas, bio-identical hormones have less risk with fewer side effects.
In addition to transdermal creams, gels and pellet therapy, we not offer clients the option of injectable testosterone. These injections are self-administered at home. Follow up appointments can be done via telehealth as well!
Testosterone is a hormone produced in the body that begins to increase during puberty and begins to decline around age 30. People often consult when they are feeling symptoms such as less energy or motivation to do the activities they used to do, feel unable to lose weight or have lost muscle mass or have a low libido.

Many patients who undergo Testosterone Replacement Therapy report feeling like a different person compared to how they felt when they initially sought treatment.
Eligible patients are realistic in their expectations about Testosterone Replacement Therapy and what it can do for them. Prospective candidates report symptoms of decreased testosterone production supported by appropriate medical testing, and have no history of prostate cancer, blood clots, liver disease, breast cancer, or ovarian cancer. Testosterone is also contraindicated in women who are or may become pregnant.

Therapy starts with a consultation in which we will review your personal and family history and answer all your questions. We will review the results of your blood test with you and treatment options. If you are a candidate for therapy we will insert between 1-2 (for women) and 2-10 (for men) small pellets, each the size of a grain of rice, under your skin using an instrument called a trocar. The pellets will slowly release Bio-Identical Testosterone over the course of about 3 to 6 months.
Following insertion of the pellets under the skin near your buttock, you may experience some tenderness at the implantation site. Any discomfort should resolve within 24 hours. As the pellets release the hormones, you may experience improvement in symptoms in as little as 48 hours to 2 weeks after insertion.
You will have routine follow up appointments and blood tests to monitor your progress and testosterone levels.
