Sylfirm X is the newest microneedling with radiofrequency medical device. It’s the only FDA-Cleared Pulsed Wave and Continuous Wave Radio Frequency Microneedling device targeting both skin laxity and pigmentation. Microneedling with radiofrequency is best for heating up the skin and deep tissue, creating micro-injuries, forcing the tissue to repair itself, and creating new collagen. In doing so, fine lines and wrinkles can be diminished when the proper treatment protocol is followed.
This dual-action process improves skin texture and tone and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars while improving the overall elasticity of the skin. Sylfirm X needle depth starts at 0.3mm, while others start around 0.5mm. Its deepest setting is 4.0mm for targeting deep subcutaneous layers.
This allows our Medical Provider to customize your treatment to each individual area of the skin. It also has non-insulated electrodes, which allow for neocollagenesis in the full dermal layer of the skin.
This means your healing may be quicker than other devices that only offer neocollagenesis in the partial dermal layer.These non-insulated needles are also less painful than needles. The ergonomic handpiece on Sylfirm X allows for smoother delivery of the needles than other handpieces, which also makes the treatment less painful. In addition, we can treat around the eyes comfortably, and we can treat melasma, which is not a capability with many other microneedling with RF devices.
During your treatment, we will numb your face with a topical numbing cream.
Afterwards, our Medical Provider or Aesthetician will cleanse your skin and begin treatment. Then our Providers will stamp the area with the Sylfirm X handpiece. This treatment only requires one pass, so it will be a shorter treatment time than other devices as well without losing any efficacy. The procedure typically lasts between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.

Yes! Sylfirm X is our go-to treatment for acne scarring. The options to vary needle depth and target certain areas make it an effective treatment to tackle acne scarring concerns.
Treatments with Sylfirm X are said to have less downtime than treatments with other Microneedling with Radio-Frequency devices. You may experience redness post-treatment into the following morning and tightness in the area treated. We recommend no exercise or sweating for 24-48 hours post-treatment to avoid risk of infection.
Treatment count depends on the area being treated and the individual, but typically with Microneedling with Radio-Frequency we recommend a series of three treatments minimum, spaced at least four weeks apart.
